RESOLUTION NO. 4678
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Newport Beach
initiated the formation of a Citizens' Advisory Committee
on Capital Improvements to recommend to the Council a general
"Blueprint for the Future," reflecting, after study, the
judgment of the Committee as to the needs for public improvements
for the development of the kind of community the citizens
desire; and
WHEREAS, J. Leslie Steffensken was appointed by the
Council as Chairman of the Citizens' Advisory Committee on
Capital Improvements on December 10, 1956; and
WHEREAS, said Committee, comprised of seventy -nine
participating members and alternate members, held its first
meeting on February 18, 1957 and has held numerous subsequent
meetings; and
WHEREAS, said Committee has submitted a Final Report;
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council receives with
sincere appreciation the said Final Report and, on behalf of
the citizens of the City of Newport Beach, commends the Citizens'
Advisory Committee on Capital Improvements for its valuable
service in planning and evaluating needs of the City, and
for creating and stimulating interest in the City's future
development.
The above and foregoing resolution was duly and regularly
passed and adopted by the City Council of the City of Newport
Beach at a regular meeting thereof held on the 22nd day of
July, 1957, by the following roll call vote, to wit: Q�
