City Attorney Karl zpm Davis at $650.00 per month) and

effective September 10, 1957 to tam office as judge of the
Superior Court of Orange CountV which creates a vacancy in the
office of City Attorney;
NOW, THMWCHE, BG IT FMCLVED* that Resolution No. 4660
be, and the saw is hereby, rescinded and that Jahn C. Penney be
appointed as Acting City Attorney at a salary of $650.00 per mmth
to serve in this capacity on a temporary basis until the City
Council appoints a City Attorney to fill the aforesaid vacancy.
The above and foregoing resolution was duly and regularly
Passed and adopted by the City Council of the City of Newport
Beach at a regular meeting therveof held on the 10th day of
September, 1957, by the following roll call vote, to wits
