RESOLUTION NO. 4711
WHEREAS, Louis W. Briggs was appointed by the Council
of the City of Newport Beach on May 3, 1926, as a member of the
Planning Commission, and, although he has not served continuous-
ly on the Commission, he has served more than fifteen years; and
WMEAS, I!e'. Briggs has given unselfishly of his time
and ability to aid the City of Newport Beach and has helped to
plan constructively for the growth of said City; and
WRIUMS, Mr. Briggs has submitted his resignation from
said Planning Commission,
NOW, THEMORE, IT IS REMY RESOLVED, that the City
Council accepts the resignation of Mr. Louis W. Briggs and does
hereby sincerely, on its own behalf and on behalf of the
residents of the City of Newport Beach, express appreciation to
Me. Briggs for his untiring and loyal service to the City of
Newport Beach.
The above and foregoing resolution was duly and
regularly passed and adopted by the City Council of the City of
Newport Beach at a regular meeting thereof held on the 25th day
of November, 1957, by the following roll call vote, to wits
