2 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF NEWPORT BEACH AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF
3 A GRANT DEED

5 WHEREAS, the City.Council invited bids for the purchase
6 of property by Resolution No. 4962; and
7 WHEREAS, Marvin Lee was the high bidder and purchaser of
8 the property described as Parcel B in said resolution; and
9 WHEREAS, the description of Parcel B contained in said
10 resolution and in Resolution No. 4974 authorizing the execution
11 of a deed has been revised to read as follows:
12 Parcel 1. Lot 8 in block 51 of River Section, in
the city of Newport Beach, county of Orange, state
13 of California, as per map thereof recorded in book
4 page 25 of Miscellaneous Maps, in the office of
14 the county recorder of said county.
15 EXCEPT the southwesterly 119.00 feet of said lot 8.
16 Parcel 2. That certain parcel of land situated in
section 29, Township 6 South, Range 10 West, of
17 the San Bernardino meridian, in the city of Newport
Beach, county of Orange, state of California, accord -
18 ing to an official plat of said land filed in the
District Land Office, August 4, 1890, described as
19 follows:

Beginning at the most easterly corner of lot 8, in
block 51 of River Section, as per ma thereof
21
recorded in book 4 page 25 of Miscellaneous Maps,
in the office of the county recorder of said county;
22
thence westerly along the northeasterly line of said
lot 8 to the most northerly corner thereof; thence
23
northeasterly along the northeasterly prolongation
of the northwesterly line of said lot 8 to its
24
intersection with the line of ordinary high tide of
the Pacific Ocean in Newport Bay designated as "SOUTH
25
LINE ", in final decree entered August 22, 1928,•in
Superior Court action 23686, a certified copy thereof
26
being recorded September 19, 1928, in book 201 page
253 of Official Records of said Orange County; thence
27
southeasterly along said "SOUTH LINE , to its inter-
section with the northeasterly prolongation of the
28
southeasterly line of said lot 8; thence southwest»
erly along said northeasterly prolongation of said
29
southeasterly line to the point of beginning;
30 and
31 WHEREAS, the City Council wishes to convey the property
32 purchased by Marvin Lee to him in accordance with the terms of the
purchase;

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mayor and City
Clerk be and are hereby authorized and directed to execute a
grant deed on behalf of the City of Newport Beach granting the
above described real property to the purchaser or person designated
by him in writing.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that said Resolution No. 4974
containing the prior description and authorizing the execution of
a deed be rescinded.
This resolution was adopted by the City Council of the
City of Newport Beach at a regular meeting on the 24th day of
August, 1959, by the following vote, to wit: n Il

of the City of Newport Beach filed and ,maintained in my office,
the foregoing Resolution No, 5084 was duly and
regularly adopted, passed, and approved by the City Council of
the City of Newport Beach, California, at a regular meeting of
said City Council held at the regular meeting place thereof, on
the 24th day of August s i9 59, by the following
vote, to wit:
