RESOLUTION NO. 6-10 6
A RESOLUTION OF TIM CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF NEWPORT BEACH.DESIGNATING DEPARTMENT HEAD
AND OTHER KEY PERSONNEL POSITIONS
WHEREAS, the resolution establishing personnel policies
for City employees, adopted pursuant to Section 2200 of the Newpo
Beach Municipal Code, authorizes the City Council,.on recommenda-
tion of the City Manager, to list by resolution department head
and other key personnel positions which shall be excluded from
certain provisions of the City's compensation plan; and
WHEREAS, Resolution No. 5035 lists such positions; and
WHEREAS, the City Manager has recommended that the list
of department head and other key personnel positions be revised,
and the City Council has concurred with his recommendation;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that effective October 26
1959, Resolution No. 5035 is rescinded and that, pursuant to the
resolution establishing personnel policies for City employees, as
it now exists, or any succeeding resolutions, the following is a
list of the department head and other key personnel positions
which, pursuant to said resolution, shall be excluded from certain
provisions of the City's compensation plan:
Assistant City Attorney Finance Director
Assistant Public Works Fire Chief
Director
Assistant to the City
Manager
Building and Safety Director
Chief Lifeguard
City Electrician
City Librarian
General'Services Director
Marinapark Manager
Parks, Beaches and Recrea-
tion Director
Planning Director
Police Chief
Public Works Director
This resolution was adopted by the City Council of the
City of Newport Beach at a regular meeting on the 26th day of
