• 2 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF NEWPORT BEACH AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF
• 3 A GRANT DEED -

5 WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Newport Beach
6 publicly invited bids for the purchase of surplus City property
7 consisting of:
8 Lot 11, Block 50,,River Section, in the City of
Newport Beach, County of Orange, State of California
9 as per map, recorded in Miscellaneous Maps, Book 4,
page 25, records of Orange County, California, and a
10 portion of Section 29, Township 6 South, Range 10 West,
of the San Bernardino Meridian, according to an official
11 plat of said land filed in the District Land Office,
August 4, 1890, and more particularly described as fol-
12 lows, to wit:
13 Beginning at the westerly corner of said Lot 11;
thence northeasterly along the northwesterly line
14 of said Lot 11 and along the northeasterly pro-
longation of the northwesterly line of said Lot
15 11 to an intersection with the line of Ordinary
High Tide of the Pacific Ocean in Newport Bay
16 designated as 80SOUTH LINEB°, in final decree
entered August-Z2, 1928, in Superior Court action
17 23686, a certified copy thereof being recorded
September 19, 1928, in Book 201, page 253, official
18 records of said Orange County; thence southeasterly
along said "SOUTH LINE " to an intersection with the
19 northeasterly prolongation of the southeasterly line
of the aforesaid Lot 11; thence southwesterly along
20 said northeasterly prolongation and along the south-
easterly line of said Lot 11 to the southerly corner
21 of said Lot 11; thence northwesterly along the
southwesterly line of said Lot 11 to the point of
22 beginning.
23 Excepting therefrom the southwesterly 119.00 feet of
24 the above described property;

26 WHEREAS, written and oral bids were received by the City
27 Council on October 13, 1959, at which time Richard W. Beamish,
28 Ronald K. Diggins and Herbert W. Kalmbach were the high bidders for
• ' 29 the purchase of said property; and
30 WHEREAS, the bid of said high bidders-was accepted by the
31 City and the property ordered sold by the City Council;
32 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mayor and City

Clerk be and are hereby authorized and directed to execute a grant
deed on behalf of the City of Newport Beach granting the above
described real property to said high bidders or to the person
designated by them in writing.
This resolution was adopted by the City Council of the
City of Newport Beach at a regular meeting on the 26th day of
October, 1959, by the following vote, to wit:

of the City of Newport Beach filed and maintained in my office,
the foregoing Resolution No. ,Moo was duly and regularly adopted
passed, and approved by the City Council of the City of Newport
Beach, California, at a regular meeting of said City Council held
at the regular meeting place thereof, on the 26th day of October,
19592 by the following vote, to wit:
