2 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
NE6eIPORT BEACH AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF.A
3 CONTRACT
4 WI-M r , the City of Newport Beach is the owner of
5 approximately 88 acres of land -at the-:corner of Brookhurst Street
6 and Adams Avenue in the City of Huntington Beach; and
7 WHEREAS; the City wishes to sell approximately 86 acres
8 of said land and has applied to Huntington Beach for a subdivision;
9 and
10 irA EREAS, said application for subdivision was granted on
11 condition that the City enter a contract with the City of Hunting-
12 ton Beach in which Newport Beach agrees to improve the one -half of
13 Brookhurst Street and the one =half of Adams Avenue fronting on the
14 340' x 3501 parcel being retained by Newport Beach at.any time
15 within the next five years after Huntington Beach has established
16 grades on said streets and requests the construction of the improv,

TIHEREAS, a contract has been prepared and considered by
the City Council and found to be fair and equitable;
NOW➢ THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
City of Newport Beach that the N.ayor and City Clerk are authorized
and directed to execute said contract.
This resolution was adopted by the City Council of the
City of Newport Beach at a regular meeting on the 9th day of
November, 1959, by the following vote, to wit:
AYES, COUNCILMEN- Kingsley, Atkinson,
Higbie, Stoddard ", Hart, Lorenz, Somers

I, MARGERY SCHROUDER, City Clerk of the City of Newport
Beach, California, do hereby certify that according to the records
of the City of Newport Beach filed and maintained in my office,
the foregoing Resolution No, 5121 was duly and
regularly adopted, passed, and approved by the City Council of
the City of Newport Beach, California, at a regular meeting of
said City Council held at the regular meeting place thereof, on
the 9th day of November , 19 59 , by the following
vote, to wit:
AYES, COUNCILMEN: Kingsley, Atkinson, Higbie, Stoddard,
Hart, Lorenz, Somers
NOES, COUNCILMEN: None
