2 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF NEWPORT BEACH.AWARDING A CONTRACT FOR THE
3 REPLACEMENT OF 894 CEMENT SEWER MAIN WITH 3"
VITRIFIED CLAY PIPE IN THE ALLEY SOUTHERLY.
4 OF.PARX AVENUE BETWEEN FIRST.ALLEY EAST OF
DIAMOND AVENUE TO. PARK AVENUE _..

6 WHEREAS, pursuant to the Notice Inviting Bids for work
7 consisting of the replacement of 8" cement sewer main with 8"
8 vitrified clay pipe in the alley southerly of Park Avenue between
9 first alley east of Diamond Avenue to Park Avenue, in accordance
10 with the plans and specifications heretofore adopted, bids were
11 received on the 7th day of April, 1960, and publicly opened and
12 declared; and
13 WHEREAS, it appears that the lowest responsible bidder
14 for such construction work is James I. Gallacher;
15 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the bid of James I.
16 Gallacher in the amount of $36,906 be accepted and that the contr

17 for the construction work be awarded to said James I. Gallacher.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor and City Clerk are
hereby authorized and directed to execute a contract in accordance
with the specifications, bid and this award on behalf of the City
of Newport Beach, and that the.City Clerk be directed to furnish
an executed copy to the successful bidder.
