. 2 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF NEWPORT BEACH AWARDING A CONTRACT FOR THE
• 3 CONSTRUCTION OF TENNIS COURTS AT LAS ARENAS
PARK

5 WHEREAS, pursuant to the Notice Inviting Bids for work
6 consisting of the construction of tennis courts at Las Arenas Park,
7 City of Newport Beach, in accordance with the plans and specifica-
8 tions heretofore adopted, bids were received on the 5th day of May,
9 1960, and publicly opened and declared; and
10 WHEREAS, it appears that the lowest responsible bidder
11 for such construction work is Jack Higginson;
12� NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the bid of Jack

131 Higginson in the amount of $14,550 be accepted, and that the con -
14 tract for the construction work consisting of the grading, drainage,
15 tennis court slabs, nets and posts, and chain link fence be awarded
16 to said Jack Higginson.
17 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor and City Clerk are
18 hereby authorized and directed to execute a contract in accordance
19 with the specifications, bid and this award on behalf of the City
20 of Newport Beach, and that the City Clerk be directed to furnish
21 Ian executed copy to the successful bidder.
22 ADOPTED this 9th day o May, 1960.

regularly adopted, passed, and approved by the City Council of
the City of Newport Beach, California, at a regular meeting of
said City Council held at the regular meeting place thereof, on
the 9th day of May 19 60 by the following
vote, to wit:
