. 2 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
NEWPORT BEACH AWARDING.A CONTRACT FOR THE WORK.
• 3 CONSISTING OF THE 1959-660 RESURFACING PROGRAM.
FOR CERTAIN STREETS AND PORTIONS OF STREETS IN
4 THE CORONA DEL MAR AND - NEWPORT HEIGHTS DISTRICTS
6 WHEREAS, pursuant to the Notice Inviting Bids for work
7 consisting of the 1959.60 resurfacing program for certain streets
8 and portions of streets in the Corona Del Mar and Newport Heights
9 Districts of the City of Newport Beach, as shown on Drawing No.
10 L -2760 on file in the office of the Director of Public Works, in
11 accordance with the plans and specifications heretofore adopted,
12 bids were received on the 19th day of May, 1960, and publicly
13 opened and declared; and
14 WHEREAS, it appears that the lowest responsible bidder
15 for such construction work is Sully - Miller Contracting Co.;
16 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the bid of Sully -
17 Miller Contracting Co. -in the amount of $28,884.30 be accepted and
18 that the contract for the construction work be awarded to said
19 Sully - Miller Contracting Co.
20 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor and City Clerk are
21 hereby authorized and directed to execute a contract in accordance
22 with the specifications, bid and this award on behalf of the City
23 of Newport Beach, and that the City Clerk be directed to furnish
24 an executed copy to the successful bidder.

regularly adopted, passed, and approved by the City Council of
the City of Newport Beach, California, at a regular meeting of
said City Council held at the regular meeting place thereof, on
the 23d day of May 19 60 by the following
vote, to wit:
