HomeMy WebLinkAbout5256 - Classification Plan & Salary Ranges & RatesWWC<mec 6/23/60 RESOLUTION NO, sash • A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NEWPORT BEACH ESTABLISHING A CLASSIFICATION PLAN AND SALARY RANGES AND RATES WHEREAS, Section 2200 of the Newport Beach Municipal Code, entitled "Classification and Compensation Plans and Uniform Personnel Policies ", authorizes the City Council on recommendation of the City Manager to establish by resolution the classification of positions in City employment and a salary range and rates for each class; and WHEREAS, Resolution No. 5034 adopted schedules designat- ing such classifications and.salary ranges; and WHEREAS, the City Manager, on the basis of his study of the classification plan and salary ranges and rates, has recom- mended adjustments by the adoption of new schedules, and the City Council has concurred with his recommendation; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that effective July 1, 1960, Resolution No. 5034 and all resolutions amending said resolution or schedules adopted thereby are rescinded and that, pursuant to Section 2200 of the Newport Beach Municipal Code, Schedule "A" dated July 1, 1960, setting forth classes of positions, salary range numbers, bi- weekly rates, monthly equivalents and special rates, Schedule "B" dated July 1, 1960, setting forth salary range numbers and biweekly salary rates, and Schedule "C" dated July 1, 1960, setting forth hourly and daily equivalents of the biweekly salary rates and monthly equivalents, all attached hereto, be and are hereby adopted, and the classes, salary range numbers, biweekly salary rates, special rates, said hourly equivalents, daily equivalents, and monthly equivalents • shown therein be established. • BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a biweekly pay period be estab- lished for all classifications established by this resolution.
