A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL. OF THE

CITY 'OF NEWPORT BEACH FIXING THE SALARY

OF THE CITY MANAGER

WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Newport Beach
6
has the power and duty to establish the salary of the City Manager;
7
and
8
WHEREAS, Resolution No. 5098 established the salary of
9
the City Manager beginning July 1, 1959;
10
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that effective July 1,
11
1960, Resolution No. 5038 be rescinded and that the salary of the
12
City Manager beginning July 1, 1960, shall be $18,000 per fiscal
13
year, payable in monthly, semimonthly, or biweekly installments
14
as is most convenient in the ordinary course of the preparations of
15
the City's payroll.

ADOPTED this 27th day of June, 1960.

I, MARGERY SCHROUDER, City Clerk of the City of Newport
Beach, California, do hereby certify that according to the records
of the City of Newport Beach filed and maintained in my office,
the foregoing Resolution No. 5258 was duly and
regularly adopted, passed, and approved by the City Council of
the City of Newport Beach, California, at a regular meeting of
said City Council held at the regular meeting place thereof, on
the 27th day of June 19 60 by the following
vote, to wit:
AYES, COUNCILMEN: Kingsley, Atkinson, Cook, Stoddard,
Hart, Lorenz, Somers
NOES, COUNCILMEN: None
ABSENT, COUNCILMEN: None
