1 RESOLUTION N0. 5286
2 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
NEWPORT BEACH AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF A
3 COMMERCIAL LEASE.WITH PACIFIC ELECTRIC RAILWAY
COMPANY

5 WHEREAS, the City of Newport Beach has requested permis*
6 sion from the Pacific Electric Railway Company to use a portion of
7 its right of way between 37th and 38th Streets in the City of
8 Newport Beach for a bicycle parking facility; and
9 WHEREAS, said company has - prepared and presented a
10 commercial lease identified as Lease No. 17503 permitting the City
11 to use said premises for such purpose for a period from July 25,
12. 19603, to November 1, 1960; and
13 WHEREAS, the City Council has heretofore considered the
14i terms and conditions of said lease and said terms and conditions
15 are reasonable and equitable;
16J NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mayor and the
171 City Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to execute said
18 lease on behalf of the City of Newport Beach.
19 ADOPTED this 25th day of July, 1960.
