RESOLUTION N0. 5303
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF NEWPORT BEACH AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF
AN AGREEMENT WITH THE COMMUNITY YOUTH CENTER_
OF NEWPORT HARBOR .
WHEREAS, the Community Youth Center of Newport Harbor
has land under license from the Newport Beach School District
adjoining the Harbor View School and the City of Newport Beach
has land under lease from The Irvine Company between said land
under license and Fifth Avenue in Corona del Mar, and
WHEREAS, it is to the mutual advantage of the Community
Youth Center and the City of Newport Beach and its citizens to
develop and use said parcels as a single unit for recreational
and similar purposes; and
WHEREAS, there has been presented to the City Council of
the City of Newport Beach a proposed agreement with a term to
begin on the date of execution and end on June 30, 1961, between
the City and said Community Youth Center to provide for joint
use under the direction and control of the City; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has considered the terms and
conditions of said agreement and found them to be reasonable and
equitable;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that said agreement is
hereby approved and the Mayor and City Clerk be, and they are
hereby, authorized and directed to execute the same on behalf of
the City.
