2 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
NEWPORT BEACH AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF.A
3 GRANT OF. EASEMENT

5 WHEREAS, the City of Newport Beach has recently vacated
6 a portion of First Street extending southerly from Bay Avenue;
7 and
8 WHEREAS, the Southern Counties Gas Company has a pipe -
9, line located within that vacated portion of the street; and
101 WHEREAS, the City intends to construct a fire station
11 upon that vacated portion of said street; and
12 WHEREAS, it would be in the interests of said company
13� and the City to have said pipeline relocated to the easterly
14� fifteen (15) feet of Lot 11, Block 1, as shown on the map of East
15 Newport recorded in Book 3, pages 33 and 34,of Miscellaneous Maps,
161 on file in the office of the County Recorder of Orange County;
171 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mayor and City
181 Clerk be and are hereby authorized to execute a grant of easement

19 in favor of the Southern Counties Gas Company, a corporation, to
20i permit the construction and maintenance of a pipeline over the
21 real property hereinbefore described.
22I ADOPTED at an adjourned regular meeting this 31st day
23 of October, 1960,
