2 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
NEWPORT BEACH APPROVING AN AGREEMENT FOR CON" .
3 STRUCTION OF BOAT SLIPS AND SEAWALL ON CITY-
OWNED PROPERTY NOW UNDER LEASE TO POST 291 OF
4 THE AMERICAN.LEGION
61 WHEREAS, the City of Newport Beach, Trautwein Brothers,
7 a co- partnership, marine contractors, and Newport Harbor Post 291
8 of the American Legion entered into a contract in 1958 under which
9 Trautwein Brothers constructed certain boat slips on City -owned
1011 property under lease to the American Legion;. and
11 WHEREAS, an amendment to said agreement has been prepare
12 under which Trautwein Brothers will construct certain additional
13 improvements on said property; and
14 WHEREAS, the City has considered the terms of said
1.5 contract and found them to be reasonable and the improvements to
16i be a benefit to the City -owned property;

1711 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mayor and City
181 Clerk be and are hereby authorized and directed to execute said
191 agreement on behalf of the City.
