R 2 A RESOLUTION OF TI-M CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
NEW?ORT BEACH AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF AN

511 WFXREAS, City Council resolutions Numbered 1602 and 1617
61 authorized the execution of grants of easements to the Southern
7 Counties Gas Company of California in the private streets lying
8 within the City property now under lease to J. A. Beek, Cwrroll B.
9 Beek., Barton Bee's., and Joseph Allen Beek, Jr., jointly as lessee;

11 WHEREAS, the term of said easements expired on November 8,
12 1962; and
13 WHEMS, the need for gas service within the area served
14 by lines within said easements continues; and
1511 WHEREAS, the City Council determines that it would be in
1611 the interests of the City that a new easement be granted for a term
17 extending through December 31, 1987; and
18 WHEREAS, an easement has been presented to the City
19 Council which, upon execution by the "pity as ox-mer and J. A. Beek
20 and others as lessee, would grant an easement to Southern Counties
21 Gas Company for a term to.end on December 31, 1987; and
22 WHEREAS, the City Council has considered the teams of
23 said easement and found the same to be faire and equitable and to
24 the mutual advantage of the parties;
25 NOW2 TI-MUFORE9 BE IT RESOLVED that the Mayor and City
26 Clerk be and are hereby authorized and directed to execute said
27 easement on behalf of the City of Newport Beach granting an ease -
28 anent over the following- described property:
29 Parcel 1°
30 Lots A. B, C, D, E, F, G N and J, as shorn on Record
31 of Survey Nap, recorded In Book 9, pages 42 and 43 of
Records of Surveys, County of Orange, Califorsnia.

A strip of laid 40 feet in width lying 20 feet on

each side of a center line described as follows:

beginning at a point in the U. S. ZBulldsead line
between U. S. Stations 136 and 137., as shown on

Record of Survey Nap recorded in Book 9, pages 42
and 43 of Records of Surveys, County of Orange,

California; said point of beginning lying North
39 048' West 377.89 feet from U. S. Station 137;

thence on a curve concave to the northwest and
having a radius of 151.63 feet through a central

angle of 32 °23', 85.70 feet; thence North 18 °0314582
East 37.69 feet to an intersection with the decree .

line as established by Superior Court Case No. 24026,
Orange County, California. The side lines of the
9
above described strip of land are to be extended or
shortened as necessary to intersect with the prop-
10
erty lines at each end of said strip.
