2 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
NEWPORT BEACH APPROVING A CONTRACT WITH THE STATE
3 OF CALIFORNIA

5 WHEREAS, a contract has been prepared between the City of
6 Newport Beach and the State of California entitled "AGREEMENT
7 #1404 "; and
8 WHEREAS, said agreement provides for the construction of
9 a traffic control signal system at Cameo Shores Road -Cameo Highlands
10 Drive and Pacific Coast Highway intersection -and for the improvement
11 of the traffic signal system at the intersections of Morning Canyon
12 Road, Poppy Avenue, Marguerite Avenue and Goldenrod Avenue with
13 Pacific Coast Highway and for the revision of the highway lighting
14 in that same area, with a provision for sharing the cost thereof
15 between the City of Newport Beach and the State of California with
16 the City's share estimated to be $53,300; and
17 WHEREAS, the City Council has reviewed the terms of said
18 agreement and determined it to be in the interests of the City and
19 the improvements to be necessary;
20 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the said contract is
21 approved and the Mayor and City .Clerk are hereby authorized and
22 directed to execute the same on behalf of the City of Newport Beach,
23 ADOPTED this 28th day of January, 1963.
