RESOLUTION NO. 5763
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL'OF THE CITY OF
NEWPORT .BEACH ADOPTING OFF- STREET PARKING
STANDARDS
WHEREAS, Section 9105.51 of the Newport Beach Municipal
Code, which was enacted by Ordinance No. 1031 and will become
effective on April 24, 1963, provides that the City Council may
by resolution adopt off - street parking standards to supplement the
requirements established in said section for off- street parking
lots and parking areas; and
WHEREAS, a set of off - street parking standards has been
prepared and submitted to the City Council; and
WHEREAS, it appears to be desirable to adopt said stand-
ards for the guidance of persons developing off - street parking
facilities;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that said off- street park-
ing standards consisting of four pages, a copy of which is marked
Exhibit "A", is attached hereto, and by this reference is incor-
porated herein and made a part hereof, be and are hereby adopted by
the City Council pursuant to said Section 9105.51 of the Municipal
Code.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that copies of these standards be
kept in the City Clerk's office for inspection by the public and
additional copies shall be made available to the public in the
Planning Department and the Building Department.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the provisions of this resolu-
tion shall become operative on April 24, 1963.
ADOPTED this 8th day of April, 1963.

THAN 201 WIDE.
4. PARKING LOTS AND .AREAS, SMALL BE PAVED WITH' ASPHALT, PLANT MIX' CONCRETE OR
OTHER STREET SURFACING MATERIAL OF A PERMANENT NATURE.
5•_ PARKING LOTS AND AREAS SHALL BE GRADED AND IMPROVED SO THAT SURFACE WATER
DRAINS DIRECTLY FROM THE PARKING LOT OR AREA INTO A STREET, ALLEY OR APPROVED
DRAINAGE STRUCTURE.
6. PARKING LOTS SHALL BE 50:',0ESIONED THAT CARS LEAVING THE LOT WILL HOT'BE"
