2 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
NEWPORT BEACH AWARDING.A CONTRACT FOR THE.
3 CHANNELIZATION AND.SIGNALIZATION OF NZTPORT

BOULEVARD FROii VIA LIDO TO 30TH: STREET
5 WHEREAS, pursuant to the Notice Inviting Bids for work
6 consisting of the channelization and signalization of Newport
7 Boulevard from Via Lido to 30th Street in the City of Newport
8 Beach, in accordance with the plans and specifications heretofore
9 adopted, bids were received on the 7th day of August, 1963, and
10 publicly opened and declared; and
11 WEE= S, it appears that the lowest responsible bidder
12 therefor is E. D. Johnson and Company;
13 NOTb� THEREFORE, BE It RESOLVED that the bid of E. D.
14 Johnson & Company in the amount of $68,695.60 be accepted and
15 that the contract for the construction work be awarded to said
16 bidder.
17 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor and City Clerk are
18 hereby authorized and directed to execute a contract in accordance
19 with the specificatiors, bid and this award on behalf of the City
20 of Newport Beach, and that the City Clerk be directed to furnish
21 an executed copy to the successful bidder.
22 ADOPTED this 12th day of August, 1963.
