RESOLUTION NO. 5848
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
NEWPORT BEACH AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF A
QUITCLAIM DEED
WHEREAS, the City of Newport Beach acquired a certain
right of way for a sewer pipe line in Lot 13, Block 431, of Corona
del Mar, in the City of Newport Beach, County of Orange, State of
California, as described in the deed to the City of Newport Beach
recorded June 8, 1945, in Book 1316, page 300 of Official Records
in the office of the County Recorder of Orange County, California;
and
WHEREAS, in lieu thereof the City subsequently acquired
an easement for sanitary sewer purposes at another location in said
Lot 13, Block 431, Corona del Mar; and
WHEREAS, the City has no facilities in the right of way
first granted and has no present or prospective need therefor;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mayor and City
Clerk be and are hereby authorized and directed to execute a quit-
claim deed on behalf of the City of Newport Beach releasing to the
owner or owners of record of Lot 13, Block 431, Corona del Mar, all
of its right, title and interest in and to that certain right of was
for a sewer pipe line as described in the deed to the City of New-
port Beach recorded June 8, 1945, in Book 1316, page 300 of Official
Records in the office of the County Recorder of Orange County,
California, described as follows:
A parcel of land six (6) feet in width lying three (3)
feet on each side of and adjacent to the following
described center line:
Beginning at a point an the Southwesterly line of Lot
13, Block 431 as shown upon the map of Corona del Mar,
recorded in Book 3, Pages 41 and 42 of Miscellaneous
Map Records of Orange County, California, which point
is 51.02 feet Northwesterly from the most Southerly
corner of said Lot 13; thence running North 780 11' 300/
East 38.17 feet to a point in the Northeasterly line of.
1 said Lot 13, which point is 27.42 feet from the most
Easterly corner of said Lot 13.
