2 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
NEWPORT BEACH AWARDING A CONTRACT FOR.THE.CON- .
3 STRUCTION OF AN 18 -INCH TRANSMISSION [STATER MAIN
IN EASTBLUFIF DRIVE _

5 WHEREAS, pursuant to the Notice Inviting Bids for work
6 consisting of the construction of an 18 -inch transmission water mai
7 in Eastbluff Drive in the .City of Newport Beach, in accordance with
8 the plans and specifications heretofore adopted, bids were received
9 on the 18th day of September, 1963, and publicly opened and declare
10 and
11 WHEREAS, it appears that the lowest responsible bidder
12 therefor is James I. Gallacher;
13 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the bid of James I.
14 Gallacher in the amount of $63,760.57 be accepted and that the
15 contract for the construction work be awarded to said bidder.
16 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor and City Clerk are
17 hereby authorized and directed to execute a contract in accordance
18 with the specifications, bid and this award on behalf of the City
19 of Newport Beach, and that the City Clerk be directed to furnish
20 an executed copy to the successful bidder.
