I RESOLUTION NO. 5873
2 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
NEWPORT BEACH ADDING A CONTRACT FOR THE- IMPROVE-
3 MENT OF 21ST STREET FROM BALBOA BOULEVARD TO
4 NEWPORT BAY
5 WHEREAS, pursuant to the Notice Inviting Bids for work
6 consisting of the improvement of 21st Street from Balboa Boulevard
7 to Newport Bay in the City of Newport Beach, in accordance with
8 the plans and specifications heretofore adopted, bids were received
9 on the 18th day of September, 1963, and publicly opened and declare
10 and
11
WHEREAS, it appears that the.lowest responsible bidder
12
therefor is Bay - Sierra Construction and Equipment Company;
13
NOF7, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the bid of Bay - Sierra
14
Construction and Equipment Company in the amount of $27,864.37 be
15
accepted and that the contract for the construction work be awarded
16
to said bidder.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor and City Clerk are
18
hereby authorized and directed to execute a contract in accordance
19
with the specifications, bid and this award on behalf of the City
20
of Newport Beach, and that the City Clerk be directed to furnish
21
an executed copy to the successful bidder.

ADOPTED this 23rd day of September, 1963.
