RESOLUTION NO. 5876
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
NEWPORT BEACH FINDING -AND DECLARING WHETHER A
MAJORITY PROTEST HAS BEEN MADE BY TIM. PROPERTY
OWNERS.AT TIM HEARING ON THE ANNEXATION OF THE
TERRITORY KNOWN AS iPANNEXATION NO. 53"
WH EAS, proceedings have been initiated to annex to the
City certain territory designated as "Annexation No. 53"; and
WHEREAS, the City Council adopted Resolution No. 5843
describing the boundaries thereof, designating the territory by a
name, and setting Monday, the 14th day of October, 1963, at 7- :30
P. M. on said day, in the Council Chamber of the City Hall, 3300
Newport Boulevard, Newport Beach, California, as the time and
place for the City Council to hear written protests against the
annexation by persons owning real property within said territory;
and
WHEREAS, said resolution was published, posted, and dis-
tributed as required by law and said hearing was held in accordance
with the notice thereof and finally adjourned on October 14, 1963,
and the City Council heard and passed upon all protests so made;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council
hereby finds and declares that a majority protest was not made
against the annexation to the City of Newport Beach of the terri
designated as "Annexation No. 5349.
ADOPTED this 14th day of October, 1963.
