2 A RESOLUTION Ox TI-12 CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
NEtTPORT BEACH AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF A
3 CONTRACT WITH THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA

5 G,THEREAS, a written contract has been prepared entitled
6 'AGREMENT #1598 "3 in which the City and the State of California
7 are parties, providing for the installation of traffic control
8 signal system and highway lighting and construction of roadwork at
9 the intersection of Orange Street with State Highway Route VII-Ora-
10 60 -NptB (Pacific Coast Highway); and
11 *tYHERFAS, the contract provides that the City and State
12 would share the cost of said signal system and highway lighting and
13 construction of roadwork as set forth therein; and
14 WKEREAS, the City Council has reviewed the terms of
15 said contract and determined it to be in the interests of the City
16 and the improvements to be necessary;
17 NCTIT THEREFC E, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council
18 hereby approves the terms of said contract and the Mayor and City
19 Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to execute the same on
20 behalf of the City of Newport Beach.
21 ADOPTED this 24th day of February, 1964.
