1 RESOLUTION NO. 5173
2 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
NEWPORT BEACH CHANGING THE NAME OF BETO STREET
3 TO BISON AVENUE.

5 WHEREAS, the Planning Commission of the City has recom-
6 mended to the City Council the changing of the name of Beto Street
7 in the City of Newport Beach; and
8 WHEREAS, Section 34091,1 of the Government Code author -
9 izes the legislative body to change the name of any city street by
10 adoption of a resolution; and
11 WHEREAS, after consideration of said recommendation, it
12 appears that it would be in the interests of the City and convenien
13 to the public to change the name of Beto Street as hereinafter set
14 forth;
15 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
16 the City of Newport Beach that the name of that certain street
17 known as Beto Street lying between Bamboo Street and Jamboree Road,
18 as shown on City of Newport Beach Planning Department Drawing No.
19 L -1128, designated 90Street Name Change Beto St. to Bison Ave.,
20 Tract 4892 ". a copy of which is attached hereto, marked Exhibit 11A"
21 and by this reference incorporated herein and made a part hereof,
22 be changed to Bison Avenue.
23 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk is directed to
24 forward a certified copy of this resolution to the Board of Super -
25 visors of Orange County in accordance with the provisions of
26 Section 34092 of the Government Code.
• 27 ADOPTED this 23rd day of March, 1964.
