2 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
3 NEWPORT BEACH ADOPTING A MAP SHOWING A PORTION
OF ' CERTAIN STREET KNOWN AS BACK BAY DRIVE WHICH

IS PROPOSED TO BE VACATED, CLOSED UP AND ABANDONED
5 WHEREAS, the City Engineer of the City of Newport Beach
6 has presented to the City Council of the City of Newport Beach a
7 certain map entitled "Portion of Back Bay Drive to be Abandoned ",
8 designated File P- X51 -2.9 -5 of The Irvine Company Engineering
9 Department dated June, 1963, showing a portion of said Back Bay
10 Drive in the City of Newport Beach which the City is considering
11 vacating, closing up and abandoning, and which portion is more
121 particularly described as follows;

That portion of Block 51 of irvinets Subdivision in the
County of Orange, State of California, as said subdivision
14
is shown on a map recorded in book 1, page 88 of Miscel-
laneous Recoxd Maps in the office of the County Recorder
of said county described as follows:

That portion of Back Bay Drive (formerly Palisades Road,
40 feet wide) as described in a -deed recorded in book
l7
1037, page 269 of Official Records, records of Orange
County, lying northerly and easterly of and adjoining a
18
radial line through the northeasterly terminus of that
19
certain curve in the centerline of said Back Bay Drive
described as concave northerly having a radius of 240
feet, an angle of 270 201 3011 and a length of 114.53
20
feet, said curve being designated in said deed as Course
108, said radial line bears South 15° 23' 3011 East to
21
said easterly terminus; and lying southerly and west-
erly erly of and adjoining the westerly right of way line of
Jamboree Road, 100 feet wide, as described in a deed
23
recorded in book 4110, page 10 of Official Records,
records of said county.

Except that portion thereof described in the deed to the
City of Newport Beach recorded January 28, 1964, in

Book 6901, Page 207 of Official Records of said county.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that said map be and is

hereby approved and adopted, and the City Clerk is ordered and
28
directed to file the same in the proceedings for the abandonment
29
of said portion of said street.
