2 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
NEWPORT BEACH AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE
3 PUBLIC WORKS DIRECTOR TO EXECUTE ALL ORANGE
COUNTY FLOOD CONTROL PMUHITS ON BEHALF OF THE
4 CITY OF NMMORT BEACH, EXCEPT THOSE PERTAINING
51 TO.EASEMENTS
6 VIMMS, in connection with the administration of the
7 Department of Public Forks of the City of Newport Beach, it becomes
8 necessary to seek permission to enter into or encroach upon the
9 facilities of the Orange County Flood Control District; and
10 WHEREAS, in the past, permits allowing such encroachment
11 have been executed by the Mayor and City Clerk after action by the
12 City Council, said action being based upon the recommendations of
13 the Department of Public Forks; and
14 WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the routine negotia-
15 tions between the City and the Orange County Flood Control District
16 can be better handled and expedited by having the Public Works
17 Director of the City of Newport Beach execute all flood control
18 permits on behalf of the City, except those pertaining to easements;
19 NOTES, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
20 City of Newport Beach that the Public Forks Director be and he is
21 hereby authorized and directed to execute, on behalf of the City of
22 Newport Beach, all Orange County flood control permits, except those
23 pertaining to easements.
24 ADOPTED this 13th day of April, 1964.
