2 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF NEWPORT BEACH ESTABLISHING A TECHNICAL OIL
3 ADVISORY COMMITTEE

• 5� WHEREAS, a Technical Oil Advisory Committee has hereto -
61 fore been formed pursuant to resolutions numbered 4398, 4576, and
71 5069; and
8i WHEREAS, the City Council desires to provide for the
91 continuance of said committee under the following terms and condi-
10 tions;
11 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED:
12 There is hereby established a Technical Oil Advisory Com-
13 mi,ttee of the City of Newport Beach consisting of four (4) members
14 to be appointed by the City Council who shall serve at the pleasure
15 of the City Council and without compensation.
16 The duties of the committee shall be to become familiar
17 with oil leases or contracts in which the City may be a party or
18 have an interest, act in an advisory capacity to the City Manager,
19 and make written reports and recommendations as requested by the
20 City Manager.
21 The term of each member shall be four (4) years and
22 until his successor is appointed. Any appointment to fill an un-
23 expired term shall be for the remainder of such term.
24 As soon as practicable following the first day of July of
25 each year, the committee shall meet and select one of its members
26 chairman for the ensuing year.
27 = BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that resolution numbered 5069 is
ADOPTED this 22nd day of June, 1964.
