2 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF NEWPORT BFACH APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING
3 THE OBTAINING OF A CONTRACT FOR GROUP HEALTH
INSURANCE

5 WHFRFAS, the City Council of the City of Newport Beach
6I has heretofore considered and approved the proposal that the City
7i pay the entire cost of health insurance for City employees effectiv
81 August 1, 1964; and
9 WHEFIZAS, the health insurance program of the City has
10 been reviewed, proposals for group health insurance and recom-
11 mendations thereon have been received and considered, and the
12 proposal of the Aetna Life Insurance Company presented through its
13 broker, Kelter & Sullivan, has been approved by the City Council;
14 and
15 IMRF,AS, a policy contract for group health insurance has
16 been presented to the City by the Aetna Life Insurance Company and
17 the City Council has reviewed the terms and conditions thereof and
18 found them to be fair and equitable;
19I NMT, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that said group health
20 insurance policy is approved and the City Manager is hereby author -
21 ized and directed to obtain the same for the City of Newport Beach,
22 ADOPTED this 27th day of July, 1964.
