AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF A LEASE i IMREAS, the City of Newport Beach owns certain property lin Bloch 137, River Section, more particularly hereinafter described; I and WHEREAS, Vernal E. Schauppner and Ruth A. Schauppner ow certain property in said Block 137 located across the alley from said City -owned property and desire to lease said City -owned prop- erty for private parking purposes in conjunction therewith; and WHEREAS, there has been presented to the City Council a Ilease under which the City leases to Vernm E. Schauppner and Ruth A. Schauppner the following described real property in the City of Newport Beach, County of Orange, State of California: Iand A portion of Lots 9 and 10, Block 137, River Sections as shown on a Map thereof, recorded in Book 4, page 25 of Miscellaneous Maps, Records of Orange County, California, more particularly described as follows: Beginning at the Southerly corner of the Northwest one-half of said Lot 9; thence North 370 13' 30" West, along the Southwesterly line of said Northwest one -half of Lot 9, 37.76 feet; thence North 520 46' 30" Nast, 5.00 feet; thence North 86° 53' 50" East, 58.49 feet to the beginning of a curve, concave Southwesterly, having a radius of 15.00 feet; thence Easterly along said curve through an angle of 26° 00' 36" a distance Of 6.81 feet to a point in the Southeasterly line of the Northwest one -half of said Lot 10, said point being South 52° 46' 30" West, 1.99 feet, from the Easterly corner of the said Northwest one -half of said Lot 10; thence South 52° 461 3001 West along the Southeasterly line of the Northwest one-half of Lots 10 and 9, a distance of 58.01 feet to the Point of Beginnings EXCEPTING AND RESERVING unto lessor the right to dedicate and.improve.for alley purposes the south- westerly five (5) feet of said property; WHMIFAS, the City Council has considered the terms and lconditions of said lease and found the same to be reasonable and Requitable; U 0 i 1 2 3 4 5� 6I 7 8 9 101 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 26 27 28 29 30 31 32 N(Yul, TBEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that said lease be appro® and the Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to execute the same on behalf of the City of Newport Beach, ADOPTED this 10th day of August, 1964.
