A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF

NEWPORT BEACH AWARDING A CONTRACT FOR MISCELLANEOUS
STORM DRAIN CONSTRUCTION OF 1964 -65

WHEREAS, pursuant to the Notice Inviting Bids for work

consisting of miscellaneous storm drain construction of 1964»65

in the City of Newport Beach, in accordance with the plans and
8
specifications heretofore adopted, bids were received on the 23rd
9
day of September, 1964, and publicly opened and declared; and
10
WHEREAS, it appears that the lowest responsible bidder
11
therefor is R. L. Thibodo Construction Company, Inc.;
12
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the bid of R. L.
13
Thibodo Construction Company, Inc., in the amount of $56,853.00 be
14
accepted and that the contract for the construction work be awarded
15
to said bidder. The City reserves the right to cancel that portion
16
of the work to be done on private property and that phase of the
17
project will be cancelled unless the City notifies the contractor
18
in writing prior to the beginning of construction that he is
19
authorized to proceed with that phase of the project.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor and City Clerk are
21
hereby authorized and directed to execute a contract in accordance
22
with the specifications, bid and this award on behalf of the City
23
of Newport Beach, and that the City Clerk be directed to furnish
24
an executed copy to the successful bidder.
