HomeMy WebLinkAbout6041 - Harbor Permit PoliciesG ;' t 1 2 3 41 5 6' 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 26 27 28 29 30 31 321 °mec 9/64 (12) RESOLUTION NO'. 6041 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NEWPORT BEACH ADOPTING ADDENDUM NO. 1 CONCERNING SEWAGE PUKPING FACILITIES AND STORAGE LOCKERS AND BOAT B0XES AS.A SUPPLE- MENT TO THE HARBOR .PERMIT POLICIES WHEREAS, on August 24, 1964, the City Council adopted a set of Harbor Permit Policies dated June 1, 1964, by Resolution No. 6019; and WHEREAS, Harbor Permit Policies Addendum No. 1 dated October 19, 1964, which concerns sewage pumping facilities and storage lockers and boat boxes has been reviewed by the City Council and found to be satisfactory; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council that said Addendum No. 1 is hereby adopted by the City Council of the City of Newport Beach and is made a part of the Harbor Permit Policies previously adopted. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that said Addendum No. l be kept on file in the City Clerk's office. ADOPTED this 19th day of October, 1964. mayor ATTEST O`� ? City CITY OF NEWPORT BEACH - PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT HARBOR PERMIT POLICIES ADDENDUM NO. I I. SEWAGE PUMPING FACILITIES PERMISSION MAY BE GRANTED TO INSTALL AND OPERATE SEWAGE PUMPING FACILITIES FOR BOATS MOORED TO SHORE - CONNECTED STRUCTURES PROVIDING SUCH INSTALLATIONS ARE FIRST APPROVED BY THE PUBLIC WORKS DIRECTOR. IN REQUESTING APPROVAL, THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION MUST BE SUBMITTED IN LETTER FORM TO THE PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT: A. THE NAME AND ADDRESS OF THE PERSON RESPONSIBLE FOR THE INSTALLATION; B. THE NAME AND ADDRESS OF THE MANUFACTURER OF ALL PUMPING EQUIPMENT; C. A COMPLETE DESCRIPTION OF THE MATERIALS AND THE PUMPING EQUIPMENT TO BE USED; D. AN (Y 1 X II, OR LARGER, SKETCH CLEARLY SHOWING THE LOCATION OF THE SEWAGE DISCHARGE LINES, THE CONNECTION TO THE SEWER SYSTEM, AND THE AREA TO BE SERVED. 2. STORAGE LOCKERS STORAGE LOCKERS AND BOAT BOXES MAY BE INSTALLED ON SHORE- CONNECTED PIERS AND FLOATS SUBJECT TO THE FOLLOWING LIMITATIONS: A. THE OVER -ALL HEIGHT SHALL NOT EXCEED 30 INCHES WHEN LOCATED BAYWARD OF RESIDENTIAL PROPERTY ZONES; B. THE OVER -ALL HEIGHT SHALL NOT EXCEED 30 INCHES WHEN LOCATED BAYWARD OF COMMERCIAL AND INDUSTRIAL PROPERTY ZONES WHERE THE PIERS AND FLOATS ARE USED PRIMARILY FOR THE MOORING OF PLEASURE BOATS. C. THE OVER -ALL HEIGHT SHALL NOT EXCEED 6O INCHES WHEN LOCATED ON FACILITIES BAYWARD OF COMMERCIAL AND INDUSTRIAL ZONED PROPERTY WHERE THE USE IS NOT PRIMARILY FOR THE MOORING OF PLEASURE BOATS. THE OVER -ALL HEIGHT SHALL BE MEASURED FROM THE DECK. OF THE PIER OR FLOAT TO THE TOP OF THE STORAGE LOCKER.
