2I A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF NEWPORT BEACH AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION.OF
31 SUPPLEMENTAL AGREEMENT #1472 WITH THE STATE -
4 OF CALIFORNIA
5i WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 5772 of the City
6 Council, the City of Newport Beach entered into a contract with
i
7 the State of California providing for the distribution of costs
81 for the installation of a traffic control signal system and highway
9 lighting at the intersection of Finley Avenue with Newport Boule-
10 yard, modification of the existing traffic control signal system
11 and highway lighting at the intersection of Via Lido with Newport
12 Boulevard, and construction of roadwork on Newport Boulevard from
13 Finley Avenue to Bridge No. 55 -35, which contract provides that
14 the State's share of such costs shall not exceed $24,000 unless
15 otherwise provided in a subsequent agreement between the parties;
16 and
17 WHEREAS, there has now been presented to the City Council
18 an agreement entitled 8°SUPPLEMENTAL AGREEMENT #1472", by which the
19 City and State would agree that.the States share of such installa-
20 tion, modification and construction costs be increased to
21 $29,042.21, which is the actual amount of the State's share based
22 on said costs; and
23 WHEREAS, said proposed agreement has been reviewed and
24 found to be fair and equitable and it is in the interest of the
25 City to execute the same;
26 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council
27 hereby approves said agreement and the Mayor and City Clerk are
28 hereby authorized and directed to execute the same on behalf of the
29 City of Newport Beach.
