2 A RESOLUTION OF TIM CITY COUNCIL OF TIC. CITY OF
NEMPIORT BEACH APPOINTING A CITY ATTORNEY AND
3 FITTING HIS SALARY

• 5 WHEREAS, Resolution No. 5806 fixed the salary of the City
6I Attorney beginning July 1, 1963, at $16,750 per fiscal year; and

7 MMEAS, the office of City Attorney became vacant on
8 September 11, 1964, and the City Council by Resolution No. 6325
9 appointed Tully H, Seymour as Acting City Attorney effective on
10 such date at the salary of $1,148 per month; and
11 WHEREAS, the City Council is now desirous of malting a
12 permanent appointment to this office and has the power and duty to
13 fix the salary of the City Attorney and to designate the time to be
14 devoted to the duties of the office in the resolution fixing the
15 compensation;
16 NOt79 THERLFORF, BE IT RESOLVED that Tully SeymoeaT__�F__
117 be and he is hereby appointed as City
18 Attorney of the City of Newport Beach effective November 2 ,
19 1964, at the salary of $15,00C.CC per fiscal year. for
20 full time employment, payable in monthly, semimonthly, or biweekly
21 installments as is most convenient in the ordinary course of the
22 preparation of the City's payroll.
23 BE IT FURTII'rwsr RESOLVED that Resolutions Nos. 5806 and
24 6025 be and the same are hereby rescinded effective
25 1964.
