RESOLUTION NO. 8368
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF NEWPORT BEACH ACCEPTING A GRANT DEED FROM
HOWARD AND VELMA HOPSON IN CONNECTION WITH THE
PURCHASE OF A PORTION OF 146 47TH STREET
WHEREAS, there has been delivered to the City of
Newport Beach a certain grant deed dated October 4, 1974,
wherein Howard and Velma Hopson grant to the City of Newport
Beach the following described real property in connection with
the City's purchase of a portion of 146 47th Street in the City
of Newport Beach, legally described as follows:
and
That portion of Section 29, Township 6 South,
Range 10 West, San Bernardino Merdian, in the
City of Newport Beach, County of Orange, State
of California, described'as follows:
Beginning at the intersection of the Southwesterly
line of Balboa Boulevard 80.00 feet wide as
described in the Agreement recorded August 9,
1927 in Book 70, page 408 of Official Records,
records of said County, with that certain line
designated "South Line" as established by a decree
of the Superior Court of the State of California
in and for Orange County, a certified copy of which
was recorded September 19, 1928 in Book 201, page
253 of Official Records, records of Orange County;
thence North 740 17' 58" West 3.83 feet along said
"South Line" to a point on a non - tangent curve
concave Northeasterly and having a radius of 656.00
feet, a radial to said point bears South 631 17' 45"
West; thence Southeasterly 13.98 feet along said
curve through a central angle of 11 13' 16" to the
Northeasterly prolongation of the Southeasterly line
of Lot 9 in Block 46 of River Section per map
recorded in Book 4, page 25 of Miscellaneous Maps,
records of said County; thence North 520 45' 03 "East
1.33 feet along said prolongation to said Southwesterly
line of Balboa Boulevard; thence North 19° 42' 37"
West 11.24 feet along said Southwesterly line to the
point of beginning;
WHEREAS, it is to the interest of the City to accept
said grant deed;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Newport Beach that said grant is hereby accepted, and
. the City Clerk is authorized and directed to execute and attach
thereto a certificate of acceptance and consent to its recording

and to cause said document to be recorded in the Orange County
Recorder's Office.
ADOPTED this 15th day of October , 1974.
