RESOLUTION NO. 8369
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF NEWPORT BEACH AWARDING A CONTRACT FOR
IMPROVEMENTS IN CONNECTION WITH THE WIDENING
OF FORD ROAD FROM JAMBOREE ROAD TO MACARTHUR
BOULEVARD, CONTRACT NO. 1600
WHEREAS, pursuant to the notice inviting bids for
improvements in connection with the widening of Ford Road from
Jamboree Road to MacArthur Boulevard, in accordance with the
plans and specifications heretofore adopted, bids were received
on the 1st day of October, 1974, and publicly opened and declared;
and
WHEREAS, it appears that the lowest responsible bidder
therefore is J. F. Shea Company, Inc.;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Newport Beach that the bid of J. F. Shea Company, Inc.
for the work in the amount of $433,602.20 be accepted, and that
the contract for the described work be awarded to said bidder;
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor and City Clerk
are hereby authorized and directed to execute a contract in
accordance with the specifications, bid and this award on behalf
of the City of Newport Beach, and that the City Clerk be directed
to furnish an executed copy to the successful bidder.
ADOPTED this 15th day of October , 1974.
