RESOLUTION NO. 8427
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF NEWPORT BEACH ESTABLISHING "NO PARKING"
RESTRICTIONS ON THE WEST SIDE OF IRVINE AVENUE
(BETWEEN 16TH STREET AND CLIFF DRIVE) AND ON
THE EAST SIDE OF IRVINE AVENUE (BETWEEN 15TH
STREET AND CLIFF DRIVE)
WHEREAS, Section 12.44.150 of the Newport Beach
Municipal Code provides that the City Council shall by resolution
designate streets or portions of streets on which the parking
or standing of vehicles is to be prohibited, and shall designate
in the resolution the days of the week and the exact hours during
which such prohibition shall be in effect; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has determined that it is
reasonable and in the public interest to restrict parking of
vehicles on the west side of Irvine Avenue (between 16th Street
and Cliff Drive) Monday through Friday from 7:00 A.M. - 9:00 A.M.,
and on the east side of Irvine Avenue (Between 15th Street and
Cliff Drive) Monday through Friday from 2:00 P.M. - 4:00 P.M.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Newport Beach that parking of vehicles shall be
prohibited on the west side of Irvine Avenue (between 16th Street
and Cliff Drive) Monday through Friday from 7:00 A.M. - 9:00 A.M.,
and on the east side of Irvine Avenue (Between 15th Street and
Cliff Drive) Monday through Friday from 2:00 P.M. - 4 :00 P.M.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Traffic Engineer
is authorized and directed to appropriately sign or mark said
area to indicate such parking prohibition.
