RESOLUTION NO. 8837
WHEREAS, the City Council desires to alter the fees
to establish new and different fees for buses, motorcycles and
vehicles towing trailers;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED:
1. The City Manager shall determine the days upon
which parking control shall be maintained and parking lot fees
shall be charged for the use of city parking lots, as outlined
above, on the basis of his evaluation of whether there is
sufficient demand for the use of said lots to justify providing
a parking attendant or activating an automatic parking gate.
2. For each day that parking control is maintained „,
the following fees shall be charged for the use of said lots:'
(a) Corona del Mar State and City Beach Park;
and Balboa Parking Lot
1. Weekdays:
(i) $.50 per day for motorcycles and motor
driven cycles.
(ii) $2.00 per day for buses, motorhomes,
automobiles towing trailers and vehicles
twenty -eight (28) feet or more in length.
• (iii) $1.00 per day for other vehicles not
• enumerated above.
2. Saturdays, Sundays and Holidays:
(i) $1.00 per day for motorcycles and motor .
driven cycles.

CITY OF NEWPORT BEACH ESTABLISHING PARKING
FEES AND REGULATIONS FOR THE USE OF THE

CITY PARKING LOTS AT CORONA DEL MAR STATE
AND CITY BEACH AND BALBOA PARKING LOT AND
•
RESCINDING RESOLUTION NO. 8287
WHEREAS, the City maintains and operates a
parking
lot at Corona del Mar State and City Beach Park, and
a park-
ing lot on the Balboa Peninsula, southerly of Ocean Front at
Palm and Washington Streets, commonly referred to as
the
"Balboa Parking Lot "; and
WHEREAS, the City Council desires to alter the fees
to establish new and different fees for buses, motorcycles and
vehicles towing trailers;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED:
1. The City Manager shall determine the days upon
which parking control shall be maintained and parking lot fees
shall be charged for the use of city parking lots, as outlined
above, on the basis of his evaluation of whether there is

(b) The City Manager is authorized to set the parking
fees charged at the Corona del Mar State and City Beach
and the Balboa Parking Lots during the period from the last
Sunday in September and May 15th of any year to be the same
as the normal summer weekday rates.
(c) The City Manager is authorized to waive any of
the aforesaid fees established herein when a special event
is being held of a charitable or civic nature and it is
in the best interests of the City and the general public that
fees not be charged for the use of any such parking lot in
connection with said special event.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that Resolution No. 8287 is
hereby rescinded.
