RESOLUTION NO. 8942
RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF NEWPORT BEACH, CALIFORNIA, DETERMINING
THAT THE PUBLIC INTEREST AND NECESSITY DEMAND
THE ACQUISITION OF -A CERTAIN MUNICIPAL IMPROVE-
MENT AND MAKING FINDINGS RELATING THERETO
The City Council of the City of Newport Beach, California,
DOES HEREBY RESOLVE, DETERMINE AND ORDER as follows:
SECTION 1. The public interest and necessity demand
the acquisition by said City of a certain municipal improve-
ment, to -wit: to acquire land for open spaces and to make
minimum improvements on park sites.
SECTION 2. The acquisition of said municipal improve-
ment is necessary and convenient to carry out the objects,
purposes and powers of the City.
SECTION 3. The estimated cost of the aforesaid
municipal improvement is $7,100,000. The indebtedness for
the aforesaid municipal improvement will require an expen-
diture greater than the amount allowed for it by the annual
tax levy of the City.
ADOPTED, SIGNED AND APPROVED this 22nd day of November,
1976.
