A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF NEWPORT BEACH AMENDING THE COMPENSATION
PLAN AND TABLE OF AUTHORIZATION OF PERMANENT
EMPLOYEE CLASSES FOR THE 1979 -80 FISCAL PERIOD,
AS AMENDED (Fire Department)
WHEREAS, on October 1, 1979, the City Council of the
City of Newport Beach adopted Resolution No. 9646, entitled
"A Resolution of the City Council of the City of Newport Beach
Amending the Compensation Plan and Table of Authorization of
Permanent Employee Classes for the 1979 -80 Fiscal Period As
Amended "; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has approved the City
Manager's recommendation to reorganize the Fire Department; and
WHEREAS, said reorganization will result in certain
changes in the Compensation Plan and Table of Authorization of
Permanent Employee Classes as set forth in Resolution No. 9646,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council
of the City of Newport Beach hereby approves the following
amendments to the Compensation Plan and Table of Authorization
of Permanent Employee Classes as set forth in Resolution No.
9646:
1. The elimination of one Fire Captain position;
2. The creation of one Firefighter position;
3. The creation of one Typist Clerk I position.
ADOPTED this 9th day of October , 1979.
