RESOLUTION NO. 9962

A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF NEWPORT BEACH ORDERING THE VACATION AND
ABANDONMENT OF THE ALLEY LYING IN THE 1700
BLOCK OF WEST BALBOA BOULEVARD
WHEREAS, the Public Works Director of the City of
Newport Beach presented to the City Council of the City of
Newport Beach on December 22, 1980, a certain map prepared by the
Public Works Department dated December 15, 1980, and entitled
"Alley Vacation and Abandonment," drawing No. R/W- 5435 -L, which
the City is considering vacating; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Newport Beach
approved and adopted said map on December 22, 1980, and directed
the City Clerk to file same in the proceedings for the abandon-
ment of said alley; and
WHEREAS, on January 26, 1981, the City Council held a
public hearing for the purpose of hearing all persons interested
in or objecting to the proposed vacation and abandonment of said
above - described alley; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds and determines from all
of the evidence submitted that the subject alley described herein
and more particularly in Resolution No. 9943 is unnecessary for
• present or prospective public use,
• NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Newport Beach that the alley, more particularly
described as follows is hereby ordered vacated and abandoned:
"That certain alley, 10.00 feet wide, as shown
on a map of Section B, Newport Beach Tract,
recorded in Book 4, Page 27, of Miscellaneous
Maps in the Office of the Recorder of the
County of Orange, lying westerly of and
adjoining Lot 18, Block 17, of said tract."
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk is hereby
ordered to cause a certified copy of such order attested by the
Clerk under the seal of the City of Newport Beach to be recorded
in the Office of the County Recorder of the County of Orange.
