RESOLUTION NO. 9978
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF NEWPORT BEACH DESIGNATING AN INTERESECTION
AT WHICH VEHICLES ARE REQUIRED TO STOP AND
DIRECTING THE TRAFFIC ENGINEER TO ERECT NECES-
SARY STOP SIGNS (15th Street at Placentia,
15th Street at Superior, and Monrovia at 15th
Street)
WHEREAS, Section 12.36.010 of the Newport Beach
Municipal Code provides that whenever an ordinance or resolution
designates and describes an intersection at which vehicles are
required to stop at one or more entrances thereto, the City Traf-
fic Engineer shall erect stop signs at those entrances of such
intersection where a stop is required, and every driver of a
vehicle shall stop at such intersection; and
WHEREAS, certain intersections should be designated as
intersections where vehicles are required to stop at one or more
entrances thereto as hereinafter provided,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Newport Beach that the following described locations
are hereby designated as intersections at which vehicles are
required to stop, and the City Traffic Engineer is hereby direc-
ted to erect and maintain stop signs at said locations:
15th Street at Placentia
15th Street at Superior
Monrovia at 15th Street.
