HomeMy WebLinkAbout9979 - No Parking in Alley Btw Belvue Lane & L Street• L • RESOLUTION NO. 9979 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NEWPORT BEACH RESCINDING RESOLUTION NO. 9920 WHICH DESIGNATED THE ALLEY BETWEEN BELVUE LANE AND L STREET FOR PARKING DURING RESTRICTED HOURS. WHEREAS, Section 12.48.090 of the Newport Beach Municipal Code prohibits parking in any alley except in areas designated by the City Council for vehicle parking and when signs are in place giving notice thereof; and WHEREAS, the City Council on November 10, 1980 adopted Resolution No. 9920 finding that the alley between Belvue Lane and L Street is suitable for vehicular parking between the hours of 8 :00 a.m. and 8:OO p.m.; and WHEREAS, the City Council has reconsidered its position and determined that parking of vehicles on the alley between Belvue Lane and L street is not appropriate and creates difficulties with the residences located adjacent thereto, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Newport Beach that the alley between Belvue Lane and L Street is no longer designated for vehicular parking during any hours and the City Traffic Engi:rfeer is hereby authorized and directed to remove the signs authorizing vehicular parking in said alley..
