A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF NEWPORT BEACH EXTENDING THE TERM OF THE
ORANGE COUNTY AIRPORT AVIATION COMMITTEE TO
DECEMBER 31, 1981
AtWHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Newport Beach
adopted Resolution No. 9597 on July 10, 1979, establishing the
Orange County Airport Aviation Committee; and
WHEREAS, the term of that Committee was to expire on
July 10, 1980, which term was extended to July 10, 1981 by
Resolution No. 9833 adopted July 14,. 1980; and
WHEREAS, the City Council still believes that the
potential expansion of Orange County Airport will be to the
detriment of the City of Newport Beach; and
WHEREAS, the City Council desires to extend the term of
the Orange County Aviation Committee to December 31, 1981, and to
have the Appointments Committee review the composition of the
Committee during the annual review of committees in October of
each year,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the term of the
Orange County Airport Aviation Committee is hereby extended to
December 31, 1981, subject to all other terms and conditions of
Resolution No. 9579
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Council shall
review the Committee, its purpose and makeup during the annual
review of Committees in October, 1981.
ADOPTED this 14th day of July, 1981.
