• A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF NEWPORT BEACH AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND
CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE AN AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE
CITY OF NEWPORT BEACH IN CONNECTION WITH THE
UNIFIED ORANGE COUNTY /CITIES EMERGENCY MANAGE-
MENT AGREEMENT
WHEREAS, there has been presented to the City Council
of the City of Newport Beach a certain Emergency Management
Agreement between the City of Newport Beach and the County of
Orange in connection with the Unified Orange County /Cities Emer-
gency Management Agreement; and
WHEREAS, it is the desire of the parties to this Agree-
ment to coordinate their preparedness and response efforts for
the purpose of preserving the safety of persons and property from
the effects of described emergencies; and
WHEREAS, The Board of Supervisors of the County of
Orange approved this Emergency Management Agreement on July 14,
1981; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has reviewed the terms and
conditions of said Emergency Management Agreement and finds them
to be satisfactory and that it would be in the best interest of
the City to execute said Emergency Management Agreement,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
• the City of Newport Beach that the Emergency Management Agreement
above described is approved, and the Mayor and City Clerk are
hereby authorized and directed to execute the same on behalf of
the City of Newport Beach.
