A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF NEWPORT BEACH ESTABLISHING THE SALARY OF
THE CITY MANAGER, CITY ATTORNEY AND CITY CLERK
FOR FISCAL YEAR 1981 -82 EFFECTIVE JULY 1, 1981
WHEREAS, the City Council has the authority under the
Newport Beach City Charter to establish the salaries of the City
Manager, City Attorney and City Clerk; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has reviewed comparable
salaries of the City Manager, City Attorney and City Clerk,
WHEREAS, since July, 1981, the salaries of the City
Manager, City Attorney and City Clerk have been indefinite and
subject to future determination and the City Council desires to
make the salary adjustments effective July 1, 1981 as is the case
of all employees of the City;
NOW, THEREFORE be it resolved that the City Council of
the City of Newport Beach hereby establishes the following
salaries, effective July 1, 1981:
1. The salary range of the City Manager shall be
78.047;
2. The salary range of the City Attorney shall be
73.037; and
• 3. The salary range of the City Clerk shall be
64.029,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that in addition to the salary
established herein, the City shall pay to the Public Employees'
Retirement System one -half of the employee's contribution to said
•
system;
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that said salaries shall be
payable in monthly, semi - monthly or bi- weekly installments as is
most convenient in the ordinary course of the preparation of the
City's payroll.
