A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF NEWPORT BEACH TRANSFERRING $4,652.00 FROM
• CONTRACT NO. C25731 FOR THE CITIZENS' ADVISORY
COMMITTEE TO THE COUNTY'S SECOND YEAR
CONTINGENCY ACCOUNT AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR
AND CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE SAME ON BEHALF OF
THE CITY
WHEREAS, on September 27, 1976, the City Council of the
City of Newport Beach adopted Resolution No. 8907 which approved
a contract between the City of Newport Beach and the County of
Orange for the Newport Beach Second Year Community Development
Block Grant Program; and
WHEREAS, there has been presented to the City of
Newport Beach from the County of Orange an amendment to said
contract which provides for the return by City of certain unused
funds which were determined to be ineligible for the intended
use; and
WHEREAS, the City of Newport Beach has no other
applicable or valid claim on said funds.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Newport Beach that said funds be returned to the
County and the amount of $4,652.00 held for the Newport Beach
Community Development Block Grant Contract of 1976 be transferred
to the County's Second Year Contingency Account; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the City Council of the City
of Newport Beach that the amended contract described above be and
hereby is approved and the Mayor and City Clerk are hereby
authorized and directed to execute same on behalf of the City of
Newport Beach.
