NEWPORT BEACH AMENDING
ADDING REQUIREMENTS TO
COMMITTEE" DESIGNATION
RESOLUTION THE "PROCLAI
COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
RESOLUTION NO. 9215 BY
THE "APPOINTMENTS
AND DELETING FROM SAID
NATION COMMITTEE"
WHEREAS, on November 14, 1.977, the City Council of the
City of Newport Beach adopted Resolution No. 9215 which
reaffirmed various standing and Ad Hoc City Council Committees
among other things; and
WHEREAS, City Council Policy A -9 provides, among other
things, for an annual review of the various Boards, Commissions
and Committees' Manual for any required additions, changes or
deletions; and
WHEREAS, the City Council and the City Manager of the
City of Newport Beach have conducted such a review and have
determined that changes are required for the "Appointments
Committee" and to accomplish same paragraph D shall be added
thereto which shall read as follows:
D. Appointments Committee membership shall consist of the
Mayor and two City Council members; and
WHEREAS, the City Council and City Manager have further
determined that the "Proclamation Committee" is no longer
necessary in that the Mayor and the Mayor Pro Tem, in her
absence, now handles proclamations which are necessary for the
City of Newport Beach;
• NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Newport Beach that Resolution No. 9215 is amended as
hereinabove described for the Appointments Commmittee and that
the Proclamation Committee be and hereby is eliminated in its
entirety.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that all other terms and
conditions as provided for in Resolution No. 9215 shall remain in
• full force and effect.
ADOPTED this 23rd day of November , 1981.
