A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF NEWPORT BEACH RESCINDING RESOLUTION NO.
9997 TO ELIMINATE THE CITY COUNCIL AD HOC
LOCAL COASTAL PROGRAM COMMITTEE
• WHEREAS, on March 9, 1981 the City Council of the City
of Newport Beach adopted Resolution No. 9997 creating the City
Council Ad Hoc Local Coastal Program Committee; and
WHEREAS, the City Council Local Coastal Program
Committee was created to study and make recommendations as to the
content of the Local Coastal Plan to be adopted by the City
Council of the City of Newport Beach; and
WHEREAS, a draft Local Coastal Plan has been prepared
for the City of Newport Beach with the assistance of the City
Council Ad Hoc Local Coastal Program Committee; and
WHEREAS, said committee has been reviewed by the City
Council and they have determined that the City Council Ad Hoc
Local Coastal Program Committee will. have served its purpose once
the Newport Beach Land Use Plan is adopted by the City Council
and certified by the State Coastal Committee and should,
therefore, be dissolved, effective as of the date the Land Use
Plan is certified by the State Coastal Commission and adopted by
the City Council.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Newport Beach that the City Council Ad Hoc Local
Coastal Program Committee shall be dissolved effective as of the
date the Land Use Plan for the City of Newport Beach is certified
by the State Coastal Commission and adopted in final form by the
City Council of the City of Newport Beach.
